Ribbon Description
DNPs Signature SeriesTM Wax is a reliable, cost-effective solution for a wide range of thermal transfer ribbon applications. This product features our SmoothCoat® backcoat and has a unique ink formulation that dissipates static. Designed with DNP’s Edge DefinitionTM for crisp, rotated bar codes and dark, durable images, Signature SeriesTM Wax is versatile enough to print on papers, as well as, low-end synthetics.

The choice between resin and wax-resin ribbon depends primarily on durability requirements and the label material being printed. Generally, higher durability requirements call for a higher resin content. However, some resin ribbons may not bond well to certain substrates.

Simple tests can include rubbing with a finger, using a pencil eraser, or applying common cleaning products such as Windex. For more comprehensive testing, contact a Labelmatch business consultant. We can arrange testing of your label material and recommend suitable ribbon formulations through our testing lab.
Most ribbons ship from distribution locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Typical transit times are:
