RFID Labels & Ribbons We Supply

RFID Labels & Thermal Transfer Ribbons

Labelmatch supplies both halves of the RFID label — ARC-approved inlays and the thermal transfer ribbons that print and encode them.

The Two-Part Solution, In Practice

An RFID label only works — and only stays compliant — when two components are matched correctly:

  • The label/inlay, which gives the label its RFID function.
  • The thermal transfer ribbon, which prints and encodes it.

Get one right and the other wrong, and you don't have a working RFID label. Labelmatch supplies both.

Part 1 — RFID Labels and Inlays

The inlay is the embedded antenna and RFID chip sandwiched inside the label material — it's what actually makes a label "RFID." Labelmatch's current RFID label offering is built on ARC-approved inlay constructions from manufacturers such as Hana and Tageos, using NXP UCODE 8/9 and Impinj M730 chips, across a range of sizes matched to different ARC specs (see the Walmart ARC Compliance page for spec details).

Available blank or pre-encoded: SKUs ending in -ENC are encoded by Labelmatch before they ship — labels arrive ready to apply, with data already programmed onto the chip. Unmarked/blank stock ships uncoded, for customers who prefer to encode in-house.

Part 2 — Thermal Transfer Ribbons

The ribbon is what a thermal transfer printer uses to print the human-readable text and barcode — and to encode the embedded RFID chip during the same print cycle.

Labelmatch is an authorized distributor of DNP, ARMOR-IIMAK, and Todaytec thermal transfer ribbons, with formulations compatible with the printer/encoders commonly used in retail compliance programs, including:

Zebra ZT400 / ZT600
Zebra R110Xi4
Zebra ZD500R / ZD621R
Zebra ZQ630
Printronix T6000e / T4000
Datamax H-Class / M-Class Mark II
SATO CL4NX

Why Buy Both From One Distributor

Sourcing the inlay and ribbon from two different places means hoping they're compatible. Sourcing both from Labelmatch means one partner who already understands how they need to work together — and because Labelmatch isn't tied to a single manufacturer, the combination recommended is chosen to fit the product and ARC spec, not to move one factory's inventory.

Samples & Ordering

RFID Labels & Ribbons, Answered

What RFID label sizes does Labelmatch stock?

Standard sizes run from 4" × 1" up to 4" × 6" across NXP UCODE 8 and Impinj M730 inlays, plus a dedicated ARC-approved line in smaller formats — 2" × 1" up to 3" × 0.75" — each mapped to specific ARC spec codes. See the stock size tables above for the full breakdown.

What's the difference between blank and -ENC labels?

SKUs ending in -ENC are encoded by Labelmatch before they ship — labels arrive ready to apply, with data already programmed onto the chip. Unmarked/blank stock ships uncoded, for customers who prefer to encode in-house.

Which printers are these labels and ribbons compatible with?

Labels and ribbons are matched to the printer/encoders commonly used in retail compliance programs, including Zebra ZT400/ZT600, Zebra R110Xi4, Zebra ZD500R/ZD621R, Zebra ZQ630, Printronix T6000e/T4000, Datamax H-Class/M-Class Mark II, and SATO CL4NX.

Does Labelmatch manufacture the inlays or ribbons?

No. Labelmatch is an authorized distributor of DNP, ARMOR-IIMAK, and Todaytec thermal transfer ribbons, and its RFID label offering is built on ARC-approved inlay constructions from manufacturers such as Hana and Tageos. Recommendations are based on what fits the product and spec, not on what one factory happens to produce.

Is pricing listed on this page?

No — every program is quoted based on volume, spec, and printer setup, and there's no downloadable spec sheet. Talk to a rep for exact technical specifications and pricing for your application.

Can I get free samples before ordering?

Yes, we are happy to send you samples for testing.
