Label Storage Tips:

How to Prolong the Life of Your Labels

Proper storage is key to maintaining the quality and longevity of your labels. To ensure your labels retain their adhesive strength and print quality, follow these essential storage tips:

  • Temperature Control: Store labels in a cool, consistent environment—ideally between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Avoid extreme temperatures, as heat can cause the adhesive to degrade, while cold can make it brittle.
  • Humidity Matters: Keep humidity levels between 40-60% to prevent labels from drying out or absorbing moisture. Too much moisture can weaken the adhesive and cause the label material to wrinkle or curl.
  • Keep Labels in Original Packaging: Storing labels in their original packaging helps protect them from dust, light, and temperature fluctuations. The packaging is designed to create an optimal environment for preservation.
  • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Exposure to UV light can damage label material and cause the adhesive to deteriorate. Store labels away from direct sunlight to ensure they remain in good condition.
  • Stack Carefully: When storing rolls or fanfold labels, stack them in a flat, stable position to prevent warping. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the labels to maintain their shape and usability.
